Hi everyone! Hope everyones week is going well and that all of you Mommies had a wonderful Mother's Day with your families. I know I did. I spent a portion of the day finishing up some projects for My Pink Stampers National Scrapbooking Day challenge. My little girls were so excited to finally be able to give me the presents they helped my husband pick up.

Here is a photo of the necklace and card my 4 year old made at preschool. Its so adorable. She was counting down the days to give it to me. She kept asking if it was my favourite necklace! Well of course it is! I have worn it every day. She has shown EVERYONE what she made.






And here is some goodies they picked out/ordered online. I had a "to buy" list all ready for my next trip to the scrapbook store. Someone happened to come across it, so shopping was easy peasy for them. My favourite is the stampin up pads. I was THRILLED to get these! Now I just need the other collections to go with them :) I will order those very soon. You can't have just 10. There are a couple things missing from this photo - a blank album, new sissors and a couple stamp sets. I'm anxious to get crafting.

Card Box - Tutorial

Hi guys!

I'm finally getting around to posting this tutorial that I promised last weekend. This is a super simple box that will hold about six A2 sized cards and envelopes. You can make it as simple or as elegant as you like. I like my cards and box to match because I give them as small gifts. You could also do these up to sell at craft fairs.

Lets get started shall we? For this project you will need:

1 piece of 8-1\2” x 11” Cardstock

1 piece of 6-1\2 x 2-1\4” Patterned Paper

1 piece of Ribbon (about 8 inches or so)

Score Tape (I use the red stuff)

Whatever embellishments you would like to use

Step 1
Put your 11" side of your cardstock at the top on your scoreboard and score at 2-1\4", 3-1/4", 9" and 10"

Step 2
Turn your cardstock so the 8-1/2" side is now at the top. Score at 1", 2", 6-1/2" and
7-1/2"



Step3
To demonstrate where to cut and fold, I have drawn out a diagram. The black solid lines is where you will cut. The orange are where you will fold. I use my bone folder to give it extra smoothness.



This is what your piece of cardstock should look like once it has been cut.



Step 4
As you can see from the picture, I trimmed the edges a little after I added the red sticky tape. This makes it a little easier to adhere down. This was done on the OUTSIDE of the box.



Turn the box over and use your sticky tape on all of the outer edges that need to be folded down. Refer to the photo below if you are unsure.



Step 5
Remove the sticky strip from the tape on the tabs and adhere to the insides of your box.



Now its time to remove the sticky strip from both sides and top before folding those down. Again, I used my bone folder to ensure it was smooth.

Lastly, fold the bottom edges down. This is what your box should look like.



Step 6
Using whatever adhesive you prefer, add glue to the 6-1\2" x 2-1\4" piece of patterned paper and adhere to the bottom of the cardbox. You can add your ribbon along the top edge of the bottom if you want and embellish to your hearts content. I just wrapped bakers twine from The Twinery around mine a couple of times and added a few cards just to use up some scraps.
