Birthday Card

Long time, no post. Things have been pretty crazy around here. We just got the most adorable Labrador mix that has been keeping us pretty busy. Housebreaking him hasn't been easy ...there has been numerous accidents - its a good thing he's so darn cute. Check out Koda's picture!

My oldest is invited to a birthday party next week. I had some time a couple of days ago so I made a birthday card for her friend.

This card was made entirely out of my scraps - Stampin Up & Bo Bunny papers. I think it turned out super cute!

In other news, I joined Close to my Heart this month as an Independent Consultant. The free cartridge sold me. I'm not sure how much I'm willing to put into it but I'm a little excited (about the discount anyway!). Until then!

Get Well Soon

Another week has gone by! I cannot believe we are in the month of March already. I needed a Get Well card to give to a close family friend who has the most horrible flu. I just LOVE My Minds Eye paper.

And the inside

Isn't that little tissue box just adorable? Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend!

My Cricut 100+ Cricut Cartridge Blog Hop

Welcome to My Cricut Craft Room's 100 Cart Blog Hop. You should have come from Connie. If you are just joining us, feel free to go and start at the beginning with Erica.

My first card is the start of my Holiday Cards.

My second is a Thank You Card for my Mother in Law. She's been so helpful during our move - helping out with the kids, bringing food and such. I just wanted her to know we appreciate her kindness. Plus she always loves getting my cards and loves to show them off on her fireplace (which is nice).

My third card is using the Sweethearts cartridge. My friend is getting married next week and I made this card for her and her husband to be.

My next card was actually made for my daughter to give her friend. She's in to the whole "best friend" stage now. She picked out the image from Once Upon A Princess.

Last but not least is a birthday card for an old friend of mine using Sweet Shop. I used crystal effects on top of the icing for a glossy finish but the card tipped over before it was dried completely which is why it isn't smooth. I added some glitter to cover it up afterwards.

Thanks for stopping by. You are now off to visit Gayle. I've included the entire lineup in case you get lost along the way.

Happy Birthday Blog Hop

Welcome to Samantha's Birthday Blog hop. I am absolutely elated to be joining in with some super talented ladies (most of whom I stalk daily) in celebration of August Birthday's.

If you have just hopped on the tour, please go to the first stop on the hop at Samantha's Cricut Creations. If you have arrived from Jen then you are in the right place. Thanks for hopping by!

August is a super duper busy birthday month for me. I have about 8 birthdays (not including my own). And I'm sorry to say some will just have to wait because its been a crazy past few weeks. Hopefully they will understand.

This was completely made of scraps for one of my daughters friends. I used my create a critter cards, DCVW and My Minds Eye paper. The stamp is Pink By Design's "Simply Everything" set. Anyway a bloghop wouldn't be completely without a giveaway. I haven't decided what yet. Probably a stamp set. We JUST moved and all my crafting goodies are still in boxes. Leave a comment on this post to be entered. Thanks again for stopping by. Next up is Momo

Sunshine & Smiles for St. Jude's Childrens Hospital Blog Hop

Welcome! Thank you for joining us today as we show some of our cards for Erica's wonderful project of the month. She is trying to collect 5000 cards for all of the children at St. Judes. Such a small thing will bring such a big smile. And you can help even if it is just ONE card. Each and every one will bring Erica that much closer to reaching her goal of spreading smiles and sunshine. Check out THIS post for more information if you are interested in helping.

You should have arrived from Autumn's Buggy Creations. If not you may want to start at the beginning so you don't miss any of the projects along the way.

Here are my projects:

I usually like to post my materials but this time I didn't. Sorry guys. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I had such a fun time making these. Am I the only one that takes an hour to make the simplest card? I should add that some of the cards in the last photo were not made specifically for this project. I had them in my card stash and figured it would be a good time to put them to use. Thanks for stopping by!

Feature Challenge

The lovely Erica over at Cricut Craft Room challenged us via facebook to create a project using only the carts feature keys. Much harder than you think. I decided to create a card to send to my bff. She lives far away and we haven't had much contact lately but I wanted her to know that I treasure our 15 year old friendship.

I already had a stack of kraft bases scored and ready to go. I decided to use my favourite colour combination - Turquoise and Lime-ish. The 6 squares were cut from the Birthday Bash cartridge using the tag on page 31. I cut the outer strips by hand which would explain the uneveness but I think that just adds to it (at least that is what I'm telling myself ). The used a stamp set from hero arts & staz on ink. Sorry for the crookness of my sentiment. My 2 year old grabbed my arm at the worst time possible. It happens.

Anyway, please be sure to find Eria's Cricut Craft Room. The name will be changing soon and all of her links will be live. There will be a ton of information regarding anything to do with Cricut. You don't want to miss out!
