Birthday Card

Long time, no post. Things have been pretty crazy around here. We just got the most adorable Labrador mix that has been keeping us pretty busy. Housebreaking him hasn't been easy ...there has been numerous accidents - its a good thing he's so darn cute. Check out Koda's picture!

My oldest is invited to a birthday party next week. I had some time a couple of days ago so I made a birthday card for her friend.

This card was made entirely out of my scraps - Stampin Up & Bo Bunny papers. I think it turned out super cute!

In other news, I joined Close to my Heart this month as an Independent Consultant. The free cartridge sold me. I'm not sure how much I'm willing to put into it but I'm a little excited (about the discount anyway!). Until then!

Get Well Soon

Another week has gone by! I cannot believe we are in the month of March already. I needed a Get Well card to give to a close family friend who has the most horrible flu. I just LOVE My Minds Eye paper.

And the inside

Isn't that little tissue box just adorable? Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend!

Queen of my Craftroom Weekly Challenge

Michelle over at Queen of my Craftroom has a new challenge this week - to create a scrapbook layout in a family theme. Here is mine - all ready for our latest family photoshoot.

I purchased these tearbears YEARS ago (and I mean YEARS). They've been laying in my collection of old scrapbook stuff for about 12 years. Its about time they got put to use huh? I must figure out how to make them (or get myself a different electronic cutter). Its still missing a little something, but nothing a little trip to a scrap shop won't fix :) Let me say I am in love with paper from Magenta - a Canadian Company. I won a huge stack of papers from them awhile ago and am gradually using it.

Queen of my Craftroom Weekly Challenge

This post is going to be short and sweet. Last week over at Queen of my Craftroom, our challenge was to create a Valentine's Treat holder. I used Spring Holiday Cards for the first time after having it for months. I used the fit to page feature to cut out the box.

Be sure to go and visit Michelle and check out the other DTs creations.

Get Well Wishes For Ethan Pinter Blog Hop

Welcome to the Ethan Pinter Blog Hop. Where do I begin......Ethan is the son of a fellow crafter. He is a very very sick little boy. We wanted to send him some cheer to bring some smiles to his face (and Mama's too of course). If you would like to read more about him, you can here. Perhaps you would like to make a card to send along yourself. I personally cannot even imagine what it is like to have a sick child (and hopefully never will) but am so thrilled to be able to do something(even if it is so small) to try and keep someones spirits up.Here is the address to mail the cards:

Melissa Pinter
Ronald Mcdonald House Room 17
350 Erkenbrecher Ave
Cincinnati Ohio 45229

If you came from Jenn, then you are in the right place. If not, please start from there.

Here is what I came up with

I decided to make a train card for Ethan. I rarely make cards for boys but surely all little boys must love trains! Especially ones with googley eyes.

Now you're off to visit Tina. Thank you all for stopping by.

I've added the lineup in case there are any bumps along the way.

Queen of my Craftroom Weekly Challenge

Hi guys. Its time for another post for Queen of my Craftrooms Design Team. This weeks challenge was an altered item with a Winter theme.

I knew right away what I would make when I picked up this wonderful paper by little yellow bicycle. Isn't it just gorgeous! I have a beautiful photo of my girls playing in our one and only snowfall this year that will be perfect for this. It is at Costco waiting to be picked up and framed. This little project is super duper quick and easy. Definitely something you can finish in less than a half hour.

Thanks for stopping by today. Be sure to head on over and visit Michelle at Queen of my Craftroom to see what the other gals have been up to.

Treat Jar

I haven't really been crafting much in the past little while as I made the decision to leave Erica's Design team - it just wasn't the place for me anymore....not much fun anymore and I didn't really want to fulfill the ever changing expectations. So here I am. Still busy as ever with this house. Thankfully my parents will be coming in the next week and these renovations will be finished at last! I received a couple emails from some of you wondering how my grandmother was doing (if you don't know, she was hit by a car). She is on the mend, doing much better now that her surgeries are over but will be in the hospital for at least another 8 weeks before starting physio. We are all just thankful shes alive and still with us and I am thankful for your concern. :)
So anyway on to my project. I purchased the Sweet Shop cartridge ages ago with the intention of making a treat/reward jar for my kids. I finally got around to it last week after the millionth trip to the dollar store to get a container. I think it turned out super cute.

It was a super simple and quick project. The girls were super excited. My husband thinks I have too much time on my hands if I'm decorating a glass jar for candy. MEN!
